Prostate Cancer UK is a charity that provides invaluable support to men with Prostate Cancer and also raises awareness of the need for men; particularly with a higher risk, to get checked. They and Jools Holland organised an event at the Royal Albert Hall hosted by Aj Odudu and Jim Moir on June 22nd featuring an impressive set of artists such as Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, Paul Weller, Celeste, Melanie C , Olly Alexander, Paloma Faith plus Comedians such as Omid Djalili, Harry Hill and Gina Yashere.

I volunteered to be one of their photographers and was allocated 'Front of House'. With no photographer pit and a large scale 'Dolly Track' running along the front for one of the TV cameras , it was a challenge to get shots without getting in the way of the seated audience immediately behind! I met the team within the labyrinth of underground corridors in the Royal Albert Hall - I have never realised how many floors run below this venue - 4 deep. I said hello to Celeste as she is a local hero near to where I live these days.
